It is with this in mind that we make two major announcements today. For starters, we have eliminated the $1 per month charge for membership, instead only offering the even lower $10 per year, flat rate subscription fee. It is clear from our members that this is the membership structure that they prefer. At $10 per year that equates to less than 3 cents a day for membership! You simply can’t go wrong.
As equally exciting is the announcement of a brand new state of the art auction capability now available to all members, covered under the $10 per year membership fee. We have been working on this auction capability for many months now, largely in response to demand from our members. What we bring to you today is something very special – and once again very different from almost every other auction site you’ll find on the web. It is extremely easy to navigate and allows members to enter a bid at any point prior to the end of an auction. The important point of difference compared to other sites, however, is when a bid is made during the final ten seconds, the auction time automatically extends by an additional 20 seconds from the time the last bid was made. The auction will end completely only when all bidding activity has ceased for a period of ten consecutive seconds. Very, very exciting!

Membership Surges After US tour.
Well I’m back from my whirlwind trip around the USA, where I met some amazing people and helped to raise the profile of The SOC Exchange and our fantastic online community around the United States.
I had a great time appearing on various TV programs, like Good Morning Columbus, Good Morning Austin, Tennessee Mornings, Fox in the Morning in Louisville, Better Connecticut, NBC and ABC 40.
As you can see, I literally spent more time in the air than I did on the ground as I hopped from state to state to spread the word about our SOC community.
We’ve posted lots of footage of my TV appearances on the website, so make sure you check it out and let me know what you think!
I really believe that the fact we received so much air time on TV across the USA and also met loads of great people along the way, has had a tremendous impact for The SOC Exchange community. It confirms the need for an online model that is simple, fair and affordable!
Our site membership has increased enormously, with membership literally growing by the second as Americans in their droves are jumping on board to sell their goods and seek out the great products and bargains on offer on the site.
While I was in the USA, I also met with a number of charities with a view to forming relationships for a great program we’ve launched - The SOC Exchange Charity Referral Program.
In a nutshell, The SOC Exchange is partnering with worthwhile charities in an arrangement whereby the charity receives a split of revenue (50%) for each person that signs up with The SOC Exchange on a yearly membership and quotes the charities’ unique referral ID.
This means that each charity that becomes part of The SOC Exchange Charity Referral Program will receive $5 for each person that signs up for a $10 one year subscription and quotes the charities’ unique referral ID. The partner charities are also given their own branded 'SOC' sites, free of charge, on which they can promote their services, conduct fundraising activities and keep 100% of the profits raised.

Earn $$$, Tell A Friend – Increase Your Income!
I am just so excited about our new member rewards program – you are not going to believe this, but it’s TRUE!
We recently launched a unique campaign ‘Earn $$, Tell a Friend’ – which is designed to give all our SOC Exchange members the opportunity to earn some much needed ‘easy cash’ in today’s disastrous economy!
The concept is really simple:
Members - for every person you refer to The SOC Exchange you will receive a 'SOC Fee' - cash deposited directly into your PayPal account. Every new member that you refer, who joins The SOC Exchange on a yearly membership of $10, you will receive a 'SOC Fee.' The new member can join any of our marketplaces: Buy & Sell, Careers, Auto or Real Estate, the choice is theirs. As long as the new member enters your Referral ID, the 'SOC Fee' is yours!
You can request payment of your 'SOC Fees' at any time. 'SOC Fee' payment requests must be sent by you to us via your SOC Exchange 'Admin System.' All payment requests received before midnight Saturday (AEST) in any given week, will be paid into your PayPal account within 10 days from that Saturday. This means that you will receive your 'SOC Fees' fast - when you need them most!
The dollar amount of the ‘SOC Fee’ will change during the course of the year, so be sure to check regularly on the current value of the ‘SOC Fee.’
I really don’t see the point in all these rewards programs that mean you have to spend literally thousands of dollars in the hope of getting something in return – that’s not being rewarded!
We want to actually reward our members for their loyalty and for helping to expand the SOC Exchange community with something that makes a massive difference and is instantly redeemable – cash.
You can monitor the progress of your ‘SOC Fees’ in the backend of your own SOC Exchange site and when you are ready to collect your cash, all you need to do is lodge a payment request.
So, now it’s as easy as pinging out an email to tell your friends, family and colleagues about the SOC Exchange website, for SOC members to make even more money on The SOC Exchange!
There is no other rewards program around that’s like this one where you can make instant money, not stockpile useless points which don’t ever add up to much.

STIMULATE YOUR OWN ECONOMY!

Every time I turn on the news there’s another update on the economic stimulus package, interest rates, and all the doom and gloom – who’s approved what, when will we see the effects, and what it might mean for me - and then I think, why wait?

• Put Your Hobbies To Good Use – Whether you like to knit, sew, paint or make bird houses, put your talents to good use and start selling items online. Make a small number of items, post them online and see what sells.
• Trawl Garage Sales For Bargains – Once you understand what sells well online, visit garage sales in your area and haggle to make sure you pay no more than 50% of what you intend to sell it for.
• Collectibles Can Be Fun To Trade – Many people enjoy trading collectibles as a hobby and some manage to make a good living, but if you are new to trading collectibles, start with low priced items and watch other stores and sites to see what sells and how much it sells for.
• List It And See If It Sells – You’ll be amazed at what people buy on the internet, and as they say, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’. Take a clear picture, decide a fair price, describe your items honestly and let the internet do the rest.
Most of all, be honest in your descriptions and make sure to have fun along the way!

We want to be the best online marketplace there is, and so we’ve just expanded The SOC Exchange to include THREE new sections; Careers, Autos and Real Estate.
Bringing everything together in one place, makes The SOC Exchange even more useful, and offers everyone more opportunities to find a bargain, or even a new job!
We’re particularly proud of our new CAREERS section – a totally new place to list jobs and browse vacancies.
